Jesuit enters 2017 with a host of expectations after falling in the semifinals last season.

Washington commit Trey Lowe returns for the Crusaders as the No. 3-rated player in Oregon according to 247Sports. He's joined by top-rated Oregon center Travis Spreen, who has Division I size at 6-foot-3, 290 pounds.

Jesuit must replace both defensive ends as it lost Jarred and Joel Daul to graduation.

2. West Linn
2016 record: 14-0
Head coach: Chris Miller

The big question facing the Lions: how do you replace Tim Tawa? You can't, but Ethan Long will get the keys to the offense.

He'll have help with rising senior running backs Tyler Good and Ahmir McGee and 6-6, 240 pound tight end Keishon Dawkins.

Defensively, strong safety Zack Huffstutter joins Good to anchor the West Linn defense.

3. Central Catholic (Portland)
2016 record: 10-4
Head coach: Steve Pyne

Rising sophomore quarterback Cade Knighton is the real deal for the Rams. He'll have 6-5, 280 pound tackle Daniel McDougall to protect him and anchor the line.

Defensively, Central Catholic should be monstrous, as a pair of linebackers return in 4-star Eli'jah Winston and Malakai Salu. Austin Hill is a speedster at safety.

Quarterback Michael Johnson Jr. is a transfer from King's Academy, following his father, who is a coach for the University of Oregon. The younger Johnson is the No. 6 dual threat QB in the Class of 2019 who threw for 2,100 yards passing and 23 scores to complement 775 yards rushing and 12 TDs last season.
