Basketball Game Preview: Kiowa County Mavericks vs. South Gray Rebels

Kiowa County hasn't had much luck against South Gray recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Kiowa County Mavericks will venture away from home to take on the South Gray Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, Kiowa County earned a 61-50 win over Ingalls. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mavericks.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Gray). They claimed a resounding 78-40 victory over Satanta. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

South Gray is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Kiowa County, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Kiowa County came up short against South Gray in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 54-47. Can Kiowa County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
