Basketball Recap: James Kenan Tigers vs. Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs
James Kenan was the 33-26 winner over Wallace-Rose Hill when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The James Kenan Tigers fell to the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs 44-40.

Despite the loss, James Kenan saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Y'Anna Rivers went 7-for-17 to rack up 20 points along with five boards and three steals. Rivers has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Outlaw, who posted eight points and four steals.
Wallace-Rose Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nevaeh Dobson out in front who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 19 rebounds. That's the most boards Dobson has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Analeise Rivenbark, who scored eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and three blocks.
James Kenan's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.
