American can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Irvington Vikings by a score of 15-12. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

American let Mya Anderson and Daniela Furtado run wild. Anderson went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Furtado went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Furtado a new career-high. Hudah Hassanin also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

American's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-13. As for Irvington, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. American is set to square off against their familiar foe Mission San Jose at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: the Eagles have lost four straight at home , while the Warriors have lost three on the road. Meanwhile, Irvington will challenge rival Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
