Baseball Recap: South Summit Takes a Loss

South Summit lost against Grantsville last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. South Summit came up short against Grantsville, falling 18-3. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hunter Bednerik was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Will Broadhead, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Bednerik wasn't the only one working in the hit department: South Summit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

South Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Grantsville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

Looking ahead, South Summit will square off against Ben Lomond at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grantsville, they will take on Tooele at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
