Basketball Recap: Palm Desert's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Palm Desert had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They took down the Jordan Panthers 78-63. The win was nothing new for the Aztecs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Palm Desert's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wil Wilson led the charge by going 8-for-17 on his way to 21 points. Wilson's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Jecorey Jones was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Palm Desert's victory bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Jordan, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season.

Coming up, Palm Desert will challenge Linfield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Linfield Christian will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Palm Desert surely won't give up without a fight. Jordan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
