Basketball Game Preview: Ballou Knights vs. Banneker Bulldogs

Ballou is 0-8 against Banneker since January of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Ballou Knights will look to defend their home court against the Banneker Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m.

Ballou is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: McKinley Tech, who was ranked 12th at the time (Ballou was ranked 16th). Ballou fell 46-35 to McKinley Tech on Friday. The Knights' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Meanwhile, Banneker posted their closest win since January 26, 2024 on Friday. They never let MacArthur onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The two-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ballou's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Banneker, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
