Basketball Recap: Tuscaloosa Home Educators Takes a Loss

Tuscaloosa Home Educators was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Ezekiel Academy Knights, falling 75-44. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-51 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Tuscaloosa Home Educators lost, don't look at Caleb Farley. Despite the final result, he posted 33 points. Farley's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Sodergren, who scored ten points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ezekiel Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gerard Johnson, who went 8 of 14 en route to 20 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Lynch, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds.

Tuscaloosa Home Educators' loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Ezekiel Academy, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-5.

Tuscaloosa Home Educators didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-31 defeat against Southern Christian on the 3rd. Ezekiel Academy has also already played their next game, a 64-61 victory against Victory Christian Academy on the 3rd.
