Soccer Recap: Olympia vs. East Peoria
After flying high against Mt. Pulaski last Thursday, Olympia came back down to earth. The Olympia Spartans came up short against the East Peoria Raiders on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Olympia now has a losing record at 2-3. As for East Peoria, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1.
Olympia will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Athens/Greenview/PORTA/Illini Central at 4:30 p.m. As for East Peoria, they are taking a road trip to take on Roanoke-Benson/Eureka at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
