Volleyball Recap: Indiana School for the Deaf Wins Going Away Against Rooted School

The Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers made easy work of the Rooted School Royals on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Deaf Hoosiers yet this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Indiana School for the Deaf was: they took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-8, 25-8.

Oriana Lowe was the offensive standout of the match as she had six kills and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high. Jaiden Moise was another key player, getting four aces.

Indiana School for the Deaf now has a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indiana School for the Deaf will head out to square off against Mooresville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each game than the last. As for Rooted School, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 6:00 p.m. on September 15.
