Fans got a thrill when Jeremiah Boyd and Timothy Holden Bethea connected against Bethel. The longest such play in 4A Conference 18 this season, the connection resulted in 72 yards.

Nansemond River moved up to 151 from 181 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Warriors were able to move up by beating Indian River 35-14.

Heritage's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hurricanes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Malik Deloatch has thrown for 477 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Marcus Hook has 9 catches for 232 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lakeland takes on Nansemond River. At the moment, the Cavaliers are in sixth, while Tracey Parker's team is in fifth.

Heritage added to the longest winning streak in 4A Conference 18 this week by beating the Bruins, 44-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
