Softball Recap: Essex Comes Up Short

Essex lost against Northumberland on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans came up short against the Indians, falling 21-11. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Essex's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Northumberland, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Essex will face off against Colonial Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Drifters at the right time seeing as the Drifters are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Northumberland, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-2 victory against King & Queen Central on the 28th.
