Basketball Game Preview: Miller City Wildcats vs. Elmwood Royals

The Miller City Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Elmwood Royals at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Miller City strolled past Fairview with points to spare, taking the game 48-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Elmwood's strategy against Otsego on Monday. Elmwood blew past Otsego 45-22. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Royals had established a 21 point advantage.

Miller City's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Elmwood, they have also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season.

Miller City strolled past Elmwood in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 45-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miller City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
