Baseball Recap: Dinuba's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Dinuba had lost five games at home, but after bumping their record up to 5-19 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Woodlake Tigers with a sharp 7-1 win. The Emperors not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5th (when they won 11-5).

As for Woodlake, they moved to 14-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Woodlake's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Uziel Nanez, who went 2-for-4 with one double. That double marked the first that Nanez has hit this season.

Coming up, Dinuba will be playing in front of their home fans against Lemoore at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Emperors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Woodlake, they will head out on the road to challenge Strathmore at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
