Baseball Game Preview: Cleveland Clippers vs. Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons

The Cleveland Clippers will face off against Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Cleveland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Cleveland earned a 5-2 win over Mountain Lake/Comfrey. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Clippers.

Caleb Connor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Brennan Kortuem was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Nathan Seeman, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Lyle/Pacelli, falling 29-2.

Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons' defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Cleveland, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Everything went Cleveland's way against Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Cleveland made off with a 14-4 win.
