Basketball Recap: Stanton Blue Devils vs. St. Johns Country Day Spartans
Stanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were dealt an 84-48 loss at the hands of the St. Johns Country Day Spartans. The Blue Devils lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 55-48 score last time.
St. Johns Country Day was led to victory by Dylan Reach and Grayson Moody. Reach dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 boards, while Moody almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Those 23 points gave Reach a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Cooper, who went 5 for 10 en route to 16 points.
Stanton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for St. Johns Country Day, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
