Preview: Royal Palm Beach Wildcats vs. Suncoast Chargers
The Royal Palm Beach Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Suncoast Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Royal Palm Beach suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Boynton Beach, falling 55-26. While losing is never fun, Royal Palm Beach can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Boynton Beach is ranked 145th).
Meanwhile, Suncoast unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to North Broward Prep. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Royal Palm Beach bumped their record down to 4-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Suncoast, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Royal Palm Beach came up short against Suncoast in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 50-44. Can Royal Palm Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
