Volleyball Recap: Wright Panthers vs. Central Indians
Wright was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of the Central Indians by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2019.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Wright sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 13-25, 17-15.
Wright's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
Wright will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Moorcroft at 2:30 p.m. on September 20th. As for Central, they will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Campbell County at 6:00 p.m. Campbell County is coming into the contest with four straight wins at home, so Central will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
