Volleyball Recap: Claysburg-Kimmel Takes a Loss

Claysburg-Kimmel lost against Mount Union back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-15.

Lauren Roxby paced Claysburg-Kimmel's offense, picking up five kills. Roxby got some help from Lauren Imler and her three assists. Roxby and Imler didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Mount Union's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tenly Huffnagle led the charge by getting seven digs, five kills, and three aces. That's the most aces Huffnagle has posted over her last five matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydnee Harris, who had five kills, five aces, and three digs.

Claysburg-Kimmel now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Mount Union, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Claysburg-Kimmel will venture away from home to face off against Southern Fulton at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mount Union, they will square off against Huntingdon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
