Basketball Game Preview: Hackberry Mustangs vs. Vinton Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Hackberry Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Vinton Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Hackberry saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell 57-48 to East Beauregard. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-27, which was the final score in Vinton's tilt against Singer on Monday.

Hackberry now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Vinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Hackberry came out on top in a nail-biter against Vinton when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 40-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
