Basketball Recap: Kyrsten Montas and Zara Noto Secure Win for Riverview Sarasota

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, Riverview Sarasota was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They took down the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls 61-42. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-38 back in November of 2024.

Leading Riverview Sarasota to victory were Zara Noto and Kyrsten Montas. Noto posted 21 points and seven rebounds, while Montas went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points and five rebounds. Taylor Davidson was another key player, putting up two points along with six boards and six steals.

Riverview Sarasota smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 46 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Wiregrass Ranch lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Andralee Keim, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Keim continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tennae Cabral, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards.

Riverview Sarasota pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Wiregrass Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Riverview Sarasota didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-14 win against Boca Ciega on the 9th. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they will welcome Pasco at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
