Volleyball Game Preview: Mooresville Blue Devils vs. Davie County War Eagles + How To Watch

The Mooresville Blue Devils will face off against the Davie County War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mooresville is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Ambassador Christian School just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2.

Mooresville started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 21-25, 25-21, 25-13, 15-8.

Mooresville might have lost, but man, Reagan Young was a machine: she had 25 digs and three assists. Young has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Davie County and Statesville had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The War Eagles blew past the Greyhounds 3-0 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the War Eagles in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won six in a row.

Davie County not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Statesville between 15 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-15.

Mooresville's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Davie County, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
