Leggett is 10-0 against High Island since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Leggett Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the High Island Cardinals at 7:30 p.m.

Leggett will head into Friday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a blow against Brookeland, falling 95-28. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-16.

Meanwhile, High Island had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Goodrich 50-20. The Cardinals' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leggett better keep an eye on Cam'Ron Medina. He was instrumental in High Island's win, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Medina has scored at least a third of High Island's points. Another player making a difference was Leif Larson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards.

Leggett's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for High Island, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-18.

Leggett was able to grind out a solid victory over High Island in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 61-48. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Medina, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds.
