Softball Recap: Yucca Valley Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

There's no place like home for Yucca Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Palm Springs Indians a 13-0 shutout on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Alyssa Ramos made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Ramos was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Leila Schwab was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Tayla Monroy was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Yucca Valley pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yucca Valley will challenge Rancho Mirage at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palm Springs, they will face off against Jurupa Valley on Friday.
