Basketball Preview: Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels vs. Westminster Academy Defenders
Tipton-Rosemark Academy is 3-0 against the Defenders since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Westminster Academy Defenders at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Tipton-Rosemark Academy and five for the Defenders dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Tipton-Rosemark Academy had to suffer through a rough 69-10 loss at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Tipton-Rosemark Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Eagles are ranked 125th).
Meanwhile, Westminster Academy was the victim of a tough 41-21 defeat at the hands of the Lions on Thursday. Westminster Academy has not had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Tipton-Rosemark Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-16. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.8 points per game. As for Westminster Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything came up roses for Tipton-Rosemark Academy against the Defenders when the teams last played back in November of 2017 as the team secured a 58-21 win.
