Volleyball Recap: Gordon-Rushville Mustangs vs. Kimball Longhorns

Gordon-Rushville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Kimball Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat back in September.

While Gordon-Rushville ultimately came up short, they really made Kimball work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 25-17, 26-24.

Mikaylee Campbell paced Gordon-Rushville's offense, picking up eight kills. Campbell really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 19. Kirsten Heck controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Jade O'Rouke had a dynamite game For Kimball., getting 29 digs and one assist. Those 29 digs gave O'Rouke a new career-high.

Gordon-Rushville's loss dropped their record down to 10-22. As for Kimball, their record is now 12-17.

Gordon-Rushville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kimball, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Valentine on the 28th.
