Like Holmes, North Pitt also got a great game from a two-way player: Quintaris Price. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Price was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4.
Price wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kolby Burroughs, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Holmes now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Pitt, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Everything went Holmes' way against North Pitt when the teams last played on Wednesday, as Holmes made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holmes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
