Mendez's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Bernstein Dragons as they made off with a 19-10 win. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Summer Mu?oz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Mu?oz was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Mendez got a massive performance out of Estephanie Manduja, who scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Yvette De Los Santos also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Mendez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bernstein only posted a batting average of .368.
Mendez's record now sits at 5-2. As for Bernstein, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Mendez has already played their next contest (against Belmont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bernstein, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-15 victory against Hollywood on the 10th.
