Soccer Game Preview: Mater Dei Catholic vs. Chula Vista

The Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders will square off against the Chula Vista Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mater Dei Catholic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Mater Dei Catholic made easy work of Castle Park and carried off a 7-1 win. Considering the Crusaders have won nine matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Chula Vista and Otay Ranch finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Mater Dei Catholic's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three games. Chula Vista's draw gives them a new season record of 4-7-5.
