Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mt. Vernon/Plankinton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Wagner Red Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Red Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton took Wagner into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 12-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-15, 24-26, 15-3.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-21. As for Wagner, they pushed their record up to 23-7 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Mt. Vernon/Plankinton nor the Red Raiders have any future games scheduled.
