General Trass had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the North Iberville Bears 38-6 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six games by 30 points or more so far this season.

General Trass had a senior duo take command as Ahmoniee Williams rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries and Anton Davis gained 126 total yards and three touchdowns. Williams' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 106 rushing yards. Backing up that air attack was Larry Stewart, who rushed for 105 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: General Trass was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 434 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2023.

General Trass didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Damarion Berry.

When it comes to explaining why North Iberville lost, don't look at Mekell Toussaint Jr.. Despite the final result, he rushed for 104 yards on only 11 carries.

The win (which was General Trass' third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points per game. As for North Iberville, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the General Trass Panthers face off against the Jeanerette Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
