Neumann-Goretti is ranked highly in their home state and on Monday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Clovis West. The Neumann-Goretti Saints lost to the Clovis West Golden Eagles on the road by a 66-48 margin. The Saints' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Neumann-Goretti lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carryn Easley, who posted 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Easley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reginna Baker, who had 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Neumann-Goretti's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Clovis West, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
