After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Chaminade finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds. The Flyers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Chaminade got a good showing from Sean O'Connell, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave O'Connell a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, Chaminade saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Meehan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Chaminade now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Kellenberg Memorial, their record now sits at 12-5.

While Chaminade had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
