Basketball Game Preview: Great Bridge Wildcats vs. Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers

Great Bridge is 0-3 against Booker T. Washington since February of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Great Bridge Wildcats will face off against the Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Great Bridge is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 68-39 loss at the hands of Indian River. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Braves are ranked 85th).

Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Lake Taylor 96-19. The Mighty Bookers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-13.

Booker T. Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Great Bridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Great Bridge came up short against Booker T. Washington when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 79-72. Can Great Bridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
