Basketball Recap: Boys Town Takes a Loss

Boys Town was the 70-55 winner over Grand Island Central Catholic when they last played one another back in January of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Boys Town Cowboys fell 44-37 to the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders on Friday. The matchup marked the Cowboys' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Grand Island Central Catholic found their leader in sophomore Braylon Wolfe, who posted 18 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Thomas Liban, who had eight points and eight rebounds.

Boys Town has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Boys Town will host Archbishop Bergan at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Grand Island Central Catholic has already played their next match (against Lincoln Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
