Lexington waltzed into their matchup  on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   2-1 W against the Adamsville Cardinals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.
 Alyssa Hartness spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on five hits.
 At the plate, Lexington's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Kk Simko, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.  Kinley Melton also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Lexington's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Adamsville, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 4-1.
 Lexington has  already played their next  game (against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Adamsville also has no score uploaded for their next  contest, this one against Huntingdon.
