Softball Recap: Lincoln Has No Trouble Against Oak Grove

Lincoln won the last time they faced Oak Grove and things went their way on Friday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Khloe Pulido, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Serenity Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Lincoln always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Lincoln and bumps their season record up to 12-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Oak Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Lincoln and Oak Grove will both be playing Christopher the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
