Basketball Recap: Tussey Mountain Takes a Loss

Tussey Mountain and Berlin Brothersvalley squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Tussey Mountain had to settle for second. They came up short against the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers, falling 68-47. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Mountaineers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Leading Berlin Brothersvalley to victory were McKelvey Foor and Carson Janidlo. Foor went 8-for-18 to rack up 20 points and three steals, while Janidlo almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Foor has become a key player for Berlin Brothersvalley: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 20 points, but 7-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Haydon Hutzell, who posted six points and five boards.

Tussey Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Tussey Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, they will venture away from home to square off against McConnellsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with McConnellsburg sitting on 21 straight wins and Berlin Brothersvalley on three.
