Softball Game Preview: Andrews Yellowjackets vs. Conway Tigers

The Andrews Yellowjackets will take on the Conway Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Andrews will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Andrews barely beat Timberland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Andrews was the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Timberland on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Conway suffered their biggest defeat since May 1, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 12-2 to North Myrtle Beach.

McKenzie Rabon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Even though they lost, Conway hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

Conway has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. Andrews' victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
