Football Recap: Clairemont Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Clairemont unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 36-7 loss at the hands of the Olympian Eagles on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Olympian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Fuentes, who threw for 237 yards and one touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards. The Eagles also got help from Jorgani Estrada, who showed off his sure hands for 101 receiving yards.

Clairemont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-27 loss against San Ysidro on the 28th. As for Olympian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 49-0 win against Vista on the 29th.
