West Branch skates past Moshannon Valley with ease

The West Branch Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Moshannon Valley 76-46 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for West Branch, who after eight games remain undefeated this season.

Owen Koleno was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with six rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Evans, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

West Branch pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Moshannon Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Branch will challenge Ferndale at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Ferndale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 626th, while West Branch is ranked 93rd). As for Moshannon Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Philipsburg-Osceola at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
