Basketball Game Preview: Lake Nona Lions vs. Lake Worth Trojans

The Lake Nona Lions will square off against the Lake Worth Trojans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Lake Nona took their matchup with ease, bagging a 71-39 win over Lake Wales.

Lake Nona can attribute much of their success to Leonardo Sanjuan, who made all 6 shots he took for 14 points and five rebounds, and Xavier Perez, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 13 points and three steals. Those three steals gave Perez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kymani Dixon, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Lake Worth came up short against Centennial on Friday and fell 87-76.

Lake Worth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lake Nona, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
