Basketball Recap: West De Pere Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

West De Pere waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Seymour Thunder 71-46. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-70 back in December of 2024.

West De Pere pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points over those games. As for Seymour, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4.

Looking ahead, West De Pere will challenge Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Xavier knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully West De Pere likes a good challenge. As for Seymour, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 81-73 defeat against Notre Dame Academy on the 10th.
