Basketball Game Preview: Mark Keppel Aztecs vs. Bishop Amat Lancers

On Wednesday, Mark Keppel was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-52 to Burbank. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bishop Amat waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Spartans 67-41. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Bishop Amat's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mark Keppel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Mark Keppel was able to grind out a solid victory over Bishop Amat in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, winning 57-49. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Lancers' Jonathan Aguirre, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
