Softball Recap: Loudon Comes Up Short

Loudon fell victim to South-Doyle and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Cherokees. The Redskins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cherokees earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Loudon is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8. As for South-Doyle, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

Coming up, Loudon will square off against Polk County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South-Doyle, they will take on Campbell County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.37 runs per game on average), something the Cherokees will no doubt try to take advantage of.
