Baseball Recap: Cape Fear Colts vs. Harnett Central Trojans

Cape Fear gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Harnett Central Trojans 6-5.

The team relied heavily on Brody Jackson, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2024. Chris Serbio was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cape Fear is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Triton at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Harnett Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Western Harnett at 7:00 p.m. on March 4th.
