Football Game Preview: Carlmont Scots vs. Sequoia Ravens + How To Watch

The Carlmont Scots will take on the Sequoia Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carlmont has given up an average of 34.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carlmont's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against King's Academy on Friday. They were dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. The Scots just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Sequoia didn't have too much trouble with Milpitas on Thursday as they won 25-7.

Carlmont better focus on containing Nolan Fausto and Luke Ostrander as the pair were huge in Sequoia's win. Fausto gained 215 total yards, while Ostrander rushed for 58 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. The dominant performance also gave Fausto a new career-high in rushing yards (167).

Sequoia's run defense was locked in: Milpitas could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. While five picked up at least four total tackles, Ostrander stood above the rest. He rushed for 58 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Sequoia's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.38 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 5.17 on average over their last five games.

Carlmont's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Sequoia, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Carlmont was able to grind out a solid victory over Sequoia when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 27-17. Do the Scots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ravens turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
