Football Recap: Eastridge Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greece Arcadia, Eastridge was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They pulled ahead with a 26-25 photo finish over the Irondequoit Eagles.

A big part of Eastridge's win came down to the chemistry between Sadie O'Neill and her top target Madyson Fizer. O'Neill threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.1% of her passes while Fizer picked up 230 receiving yards and three TDs. O'Neill's passing game has become a key predictor of Eastridge's success: the team is undefeated when her passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4-2 otherwise.

Eastridge now has a winning record of 5-4-2.

Looking ahead, Eastridge will host Webster Thomas at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Irondequoit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
