Volleyball Recap: Garinger Wildcats vs. South Mecklenburg Sabres

Garinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the South Mecklenburg Sabres. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Sabres this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7, 25-7.

South Mecklenburg found their leader in freshman Sophia Woolman, who had 17 digs and five aces. Woolman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jemma Rupert, who had seven aces and five digs.

Garinger's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for South Mecklenburg, their record now sits at 12-10.

As of now, neither Garinger nor the Sabres have any future games scheduled.
