Basketball Recap: Kambree Briner Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pattonsburg

Worth County's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Pattonsburg Panthers as the Worth County Tigers made off with a 46-25 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted against the Panthers since December 3, 2019.

Worth County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kambree Briner, who posted six points in addition to 12 rebounds and six assists. That's the most points Briner has posted since back in November of 2024. Rylee Ruckman was another key player, putting up 15 points and five boards.

Worth County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Worth County's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12. As for Pattonsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Worth County Tigers duke it out with the St. Joseph Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pattonsburg has already played their next matchup (against King City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
